Afcon Qualifier 2019: Ahmed Musa Inspires Nigeria To Victory Against Seychelles (3-0)

Ahmed Musa, who captained the Super Eagle’s in the Nations Cup qualifying match against Seychelles on Saturday, led his teammates to victory as he scored the opening goal in a 3-0 win.

The Super Eagles who lost their opening game of the qualifiers against South Africa needed victory to get back on track in their quest to make it to Africa Cup of Nations 2019.

Gernot Rohr’s side started brightly against Seychelles and they did not have to wait for too long as Musa continued from where he stopped from the World Cup in Russia; giving Nigeria the lead in the 15th minute.

The second goal came for Nigeria in the 34th minutes as Iheanacho’s left footed free-kick was parried by the keeper but was calmly tucked in by defender Chidozie Awaziem.

The Super Eagles took a 2-0 lead to the break and when they came for the second half, they added one more.
