Lionel Messi Speaks On Ronaldo's Exit - "Real Madrid Won't Be As Deadly Anymore"

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has come out to say that Real Madrid is no longer good enough to win the Uefa Champions League following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, and admits that Juventus are now clear favourites for the Champions League glory.

Messi is now giving up on the pursuit of this year’s UCL and his now prepared to focus on winning La Liga title with Barcelona, declaring Juventus to be clear favourites to win the football most prestigious cup.

In an interview with Catalunya Radio, the Argentine forward said: 

"Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world and they have a great squad, but it’s evident that the absence of Ronaldo makes them less good and makes Juventus one of the clear favourites to win the Champions League."

Messi added on Ronaldo’s shock departure from the Santiago Bernabeu: “It surprised me [when he left]. I didn’t imagine him leaving Madrid or joining Juventus. There were a lot of teams that wanted him. It surprised me, but he has gone to a very good team."
