BUHARI's Advice To Nigerians Ahead Of 2019 Election

President Muhammadu Buhari has advice Nigerians to vote wisely in the coming election, using the attitudes of some state governors as a case study.

Buhari, in a statement with the Hausa service of the Voice of America condemned the attitude of the state Governors who failed to pay civil servants salaries even after collecting revenue from the federal government.

The President who is the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is indirectly telling Nigerians’ to vote for a competent candidate during the forthcoming election.

According to the President, he saw no justification in governors collecting bailout funds from the federal government and still failing to pay wages.

He said, “I wonder how these governors are able to sleep knowing that they have refused to pay workers their wages.

These workers have families to cater for, they pay rent, pay school fees, Hospital bills and food for their families.”

He added that the constitution of the country gives governors the independence to spend their funds without interference and that is why some are abusing that privilege by refusing to work for the people.

The president advised Nigerians to use their voting rights to make sure that they only vote for people who have them in heart
