Newcastle 2-1 Manchester City: Champions Suffered Setbacks In Retaining Their Premier League Title

Newcastle came from behind to beat Champion Man City 2-1 at St. James’ Park.

The loss was a disappointment for Pep guardiola who marks his 100 premier league game in charge of Manchester city today.

Manchester City’s title bid has just suffered a major blow leaving Liverpool with the chance to move seven points clear with a victory over Leicester City on Wednesday.

Leaving Liverpool with a golden opportunity to put one hand on a maiden Premier League trophy triumph.

Even if Manchester City should win all their remaining 14 games, they would fall short of the 100 points they achieved last season. The title may already have been Liverpool's to lose, but they would have to throw it away now.

City will have to endure this loss and move on before hosting Arsenal on Sunday, having won 2-0 in north London on the opening weekend of the campaign, while Newcastle head to Wembley to face Tottenham the day before.
