INEC Releases Total Number Of Registered Voters And Collected PVCs Ahead Of The 2019 General Elections

Ahead of the 2019 General elections stated on the 23rd of February, 2019; the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has released the total number of registered voters, as well as those that have collected their PVCs. 
According to the breakdown of the number of the PCVs collected in each state, Lagos State leads with 5.5m PVCs collected, followed by Kano with 4.7m PVCs. The data further showed that Kaduna has 3.6m PVCs collected and that Katsina has 3.2m collected, while Rivers has 2.83 million PVCs collected.

The INEC boss said that the commission had no reason to feel that anything would stop the conduct of the election on February 23. 

He said: “We believe that as a prayerful nation, the act of God has been assuaged and that things will go right. We have no reason to feel that anything will go wrong. “We have received all the materials; they have been checked, audited. People have been informed, party agents have gone there to check"
