Solari Delighted With Vinicius & Ascencio Development

Vinicius the Invisible
Real Madrid head Coach Santiago Solari is delighted with the progress of 18 years old Vinicius Junior and said that his improvement at Real Madrid is mainly due to his relationship with the big boys who have helped him to adapt with life at the Santiago Bernabeu following his €45m move.

"He's very young and you can see in the last few months his improvement," Solari told reporters.

"We're delighted with his progress. He's getting lots of help not just in matches, but in training too.

"Lots of credit must go to Vinicius but also to his team-mates for the advice they're passing on, helping him to improve his game."

Marco Ascencio who just came back from a thigh muscle injury was a substitute against Ayax, who came in and scored the winning goal. The bright start of Ascencio is definitely going to give Solari a selection headache against Girona on Sunday.

He said: "Marco can play anywhere across the front three, even as an attacking midfielder,"

"He is talented and came back from injury strongly. Hopefully he continues to work in same vein.

"He came on and scored a decisive goal - an important goal for him and for the team. We're happy with the way he has returned from injury."
