Atiku Abubakar Congratulates Super Eagles For Their 1-0 Victory Over Burundi

The Nigeria Super Eagles won Burundi 1-0 in their first game of the Africa Nations Cup going on in Egypt, and Atiku thank them for lifting the hopes of Nigerians.
After a very tough first half which ended goalless, Nigerian striker Idion Ighalo came from the bench to break the deadlock in the 77th minutes to hand a decisive victory to the Eagles.

Nigerian Ex-Vice President and PDP Presidential candidate for the Febuary 2019 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, took to his tweeter handle to thank the Super Eagles for lifting the nation's spirit with a positive start of the campaign.

He wrote: "Congratulations Super Eagles! Great way to start the Africa Cup Of Nations 2019 competition. Thank you for lifting our nation's spirit with something positive. We are solidly behind you all the way"
