Bricklayer, Others Shot As Land Grabbers Invade Ogun Village

Land grabbers, popularly known as “Omo onile” in their hundreds invaded Falokun village in the Obafemi–Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Scores of villagers including a 34- year- old bricklayer, identified as Abdulahi Olalekan sustained gunshots as hoodlums suspected to be land grabbers, popularly known as “Omo onile” in their hundreds invaded Falokun village in the Obafemi – Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

MackenzieSkyBlog  understands that Olalekan was working at the site of a property company, Blue Stone Garden located in the village when the land grabbers invaded the village.

According to reports, the land grabbers were led by two persons identified as Umar and Bello said to have accused the property company of encroaching on the landed property of their clients.
The land grabbers who invaded the site in their hundreds were said to have catered away with about 159 motorcycles belonging to the workers who were working on the site as at the time of arrival of the landgrabbers, shot Olalekan repeatedly and left him in the pool of his own blood.

Although, as at the time of this report, one person has been apprehended in connection with the attack and is currently being interrogated at the Owode Police station in Obafemi – Owode Local Government Area of the state.
