Trump Tells US Citizens To Leave Iraq Immediately After Killing Iran's Military Commander, Soleiman

The U.S Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq has called on Americans to heed the January 2020 Travel Advisory and leave Iraq immediately.
The embassy made this call due to the heightened tension in the region following the killing of Iran's top military commander, Qassem Soleimani.

Soleimani was killed alongside a senior commander in Iraq's militia, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, in Iraq in an airstrike ordered by the U.S President, Donald Trump.

The statement in part reads...
"Due to the heightened tensions in Iraq and the region, the U.S Embassy urges American citizens to heed to the January 2020 Travel Advisory and depart Iraq immediately.

"U.S citizens should depart via airline while possible, and failing that, to other countries via land. Due to the Iranian-backed militia attacks at the U.S Embassy compound, all public consular operations are hereby suspended until further notice. U.S citizens should not approach the Embassy"

A former special envoy in the coalition to defeat Isis under the former and current President of the United State of American, Brett McGurk, said in an interview with MSNBC that Americans have to start seeing the possibility of a war with Iran following the killing of it military commander, Soleiman.
