President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and his wife, Melania have tested positive for coronavirus a few hours after his closest aide Hope Hicks tested positive to the virus.

The President announced this on Friday morning via his official Twitter page, where he disclosed that his special adviser, Hope Hicks who has been working so hard without taking a break had tested positive for COVID-19.

Trump added that he and his wife, Melania have now been quarantined and are presently waiting for their test result to be revealed since they have recently been in contact with the aide.

He first tweet reads:

"Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!"

A few hours later, President Trump announced that he and his wife, Melania have now been confirmed positive for COVID-19, and will begin their quarantine and recovery process immediately.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” Trump tweeted shortly

However, his personal doctor Sean Conley said the President and his wife are in perfect condition and will continue working from the house until he is confirmed free from the virus.

Hope Hicks, the 31-year-old adviser to the President, is the closest adviser to Donald Trump to test positive so far.

She travelled with the President on Air Force One to the just concluded first Presidential TV debate in Ohio earlier this week. Hicks sat close to President Trump inside the presidential helicopter Marine One on Wednesday when the he went for a rally in Minnesota.

It's not clear if Trump's 14 days quarantine and recovery process will affect arrangements for the second presidential debate scheduled to take place on 15th October in Miami, Florida.
