Bishop David Oyedepo |
The founder and presiding Bishop of the megachurch, Living Faith Church Worldwide International, AKA Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has sent a strong message to President Muhammadu Buhari concerning the alleged rough handling of the #EndSARS protesters.
According to the bishop, it is a sacrilege to shoot at protesters who are not looting or damaging government properties as every citizen has the legitimate right to express their displeasures and pains.
Oyedepo said this in a tweet via his official Twitter page, where he also urged the federal government to be law-abiding and respect any legitimate protest in the country.
"It is sacrilege to shoot protesters who are not looting, who are not ravaging."Every man has a legitimate right to express their displeasures and pains."Please, be law-abiding and please respect any legitimate protest," he tweeted.
Bishop Oyedepo reacted as they have been alleged shooting by the federal government security agents that have led to the death of many peaceful protesters in the country.
