Leave Donald Trump & America Alone And Face Your Country Old Man! - Wizkid Blasts Buhari

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid on Sunday blasted the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for ignoring the ongoing SARS killings going on in the country.

President Muhammadu Buhari had on Oct 2 via his official Twitter page wished President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, quick and full recovery from Covid-19.

Responding to Buhari's tweet, Wizkid fumes at the President saying that the youths are being killed on a daily basis and the president's only concern is matters that concern America.

The music star said this in a tweet via his verified Twitter page, where he told Buhari to leave Donald Trump alone and do something about the brutal killings of Nigerian youths in the country by police/SARS.

He tweeted;

“Donald Trump is not your business! Old man! Police/Sarz still killing Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something! Nothing concern u for America! Face your country!”

Wizkid also challenged the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu after he promised to take action on the police unit’s brutality.

“The safety of our residents is my number one duty as the CSO of Lagos. So, reading reports of seemingly unlawful exploitation by the people charged to protect is very worrying & needs to be addressed immediately. Be assured that appropriate actions will be taken, & speedily too,” Mr. Sanwo-Olu wrote on his official Twitter handle.

In response, Wizkid urges the governor to do something that will make Nigerians be proud of him.

“Mr. Governor! I met with you in December 2019! You expressed how proud you are of the entertainment industry and all we do. Pls, do something let’s be proud of you too abeg ! #Endsars!!," Wizkid wrote.

In a recent incident that went viral, SARS operatives allegedly shot dead a young man in front of a hotel in the Ughelli area of Delta State and have since been under heavy attack on all social media handles.

Wizkid thus joined thousands of Nigerians, Celebrities, and some prominent voices like the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, and a global rights group, Amnesty International to call for the abolition of the police unit called SARS.
