As promised, Nigerian musician Runtown stormed the streets of Lagos leading a peaceful protest supported by his colleague in the music industry, Falz.

Falz and Runtown had vowed that they won’t back down on the #EndSARS protest slated for Lekki toll gate opposite Oriental Hotel to Onikan, Lagos.

A few hours after Marlian President, Naira Marley disappointed Nigerians after he canceled his proposed peaceful protest, his colleague in the music industry Runtown took to his Twitter page to reassure Nigerians that he will not be backing down from his peaceful protest scheduled to hold on Thursday.

He tweeted;

"Thursday is Thursday."

The music star has now fulfilled his promise to Nigerians as he led a teeming crowd together with some celebrities to the peaceful protest today, parading some parts of Lagos State campaigning against the incessant attacks by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), on the youth leaving some bad injured and others dead.

In an Instagram live chat on Thursday morning, Falz, son of human rights activist, Femi Falana, disclosed that he is on his way to the protest venue.

“No backing down. We move. The police are already there, waiting for us but we are not here to cause trouble.

"No Backing Down On #Endsars Protest, It is a peaceful protest. Coming through.”

As at the time of filing this report, the crowd led by the musicians was marching the streets of Lagos chanting their demand to #EndSARS.
